"The thought of "me" and "you" is a conceptual illusion of separateness and can only be reconciled by your ONE AWARENESS that contains them.

I cannot ‘do’ Presence, simply because I already am Presence. So there is no process to learn because I cannot learn or achieve something that I already am.

Presence is totally effortless and is nearer to me than breathing or thinking. Presence requires nothing from the "me concept" to BE what It is -  your "Self."

- David Hargrove

Do we actually create our own search for truth or does it just happen within us?  Before the body was born did we really plan to misconceive our true identity and then mentally suffer for it?  Did we plan to have fun in suffering?  Did we really have a choice about anything (gender, language, mental conditioning) before this body came into being?

Do we actually create our own search for truth or does it just happen within us?
Before the body was born did we really plan to misconceive our true identity and
then mentally suffer for it?  Did we plan to have fun in suffering?  Did we really have
a choice about anything (gender, language, mental conditioning) before this body
came into being?

David began reading Nisargadatta Maharaj (I Am That) in the early 80's which
started the seemingly endless question "do I really know what I think I know?".
Slowly but surely he was made to discover he did not!  He began to experience the
less he thought he knew via various concepts the better it got.  What a surprise it was for him!

In the fall of 1990 he was lucky enough to meet Chariji from Madras India.  He says
lucky because upon meeting Chariji he began to experience a love and
devotion he had never known.  It was clear he had nothing to do with it.
This Love and Devotion was the Grace of the Guru that he had only read about.

In November of 1996 David was walking back to his desk at work and suddenly and
from nowhere the simple understanding happened.  All things conceivable or
perceivable are contained in the "One Effortless Awareness."  He found himself
"to Be what I had always been 'Simple Being'."
